    For those of us who struggle with imposing questions like how much to charge for a particular finish or how much am I actually making on this job after overhead is calculated, this class is a must. Do you know how to read a blueprint and calculate an estimate from that plan? Do you know what your overhead costs are? Do you know the difference in paying the Interior Designer a percentage of the job verses a percentage off the top? Will any of this ever get any easier? If these are questions you ask yourself every now and then or everyday, this class is for you.

    Each student will receive a cd that contains the automated job cost and estimating template, an automated invoice/proposal template as well as a comprehensive contract that protects your interest and spells out to your client what you will and will not provide.

    For this class you must have a laptop and know how to use it! This program is designed for a spreadsheet program like Excel. If you do not know how to use Excel please call to see if there is available space for your child or someone else who knows how to use the program to come with you.This program is not difficult to learn nor is it difficult to use; we simply do not have the time to teach the very basics of computer science. Space for this class is limited and demand is very high. The Art of Making a Profit will be offered again the beginning of next year so if you plan to buy a laptop before the year end please schedule for the next class.
