Painted Furniture

For centuries painted furniture has had a special place in any home. Are you the lucky recipient of a practical but not very attractive heirloom? Maybe you have picked up a piece at a yard sale or flea market with great lines but has suffered a bit of neglect. Perhaps you've been inspired by a friends success and are ready to try your hand at painting for yourself. No matter how you have become interested in painting that piece of furniture now is your chance to turn it into something highly individual and beautiful. Learn techniques specific to furniture including how to wax, antique and distress. We will take a look at motifs and color schemes that work for you and integrate them into the materials and techniques you'll want to use again and again.
